Adams 14 COVID-19 Update for Friday, Jan. 21, 2022

Dear Adams 14 Parents, Families, and Staff Members,

During a meeting on Jan. 18  where representatives of certified and classified employees as well as campus principals shared their feedback, the Adams 14 Board of Education unanimously passed the following motion:

“The District (shall) return to in-person learning, effective Jan. 19, 2022, following the internally established thresholds reflecting when critical unavailability of staff due to COVID-19 which prevent safe and effective in-person learning.”

Based on current staff absence data as of 4 p.m. today, the following Adams 14 schools will continue and/or resume in-person instruction on Friday, Jan. 21:

  • Lester Arnold High School
  • Adams City Middle School
  • Alsup Elementary School
  • Central Elementary School
  • Dupont Elementary School
  • Hanson Elementary School
  • Kemp Elementary School
  •  Monaco Elementary School
  • Rose Hill Elementary School
  • Sanville Preschool
  • STARS Early Learning Center

The following school(s) will operate virtually on Friday, Jan. 21.

  • Adams City High School
  • Kearney Middle School

At these schools, grab-and-go meals will be available (via either walk-up or drive-up) between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Pending any changes in staffing needs, all members of the Adams 14 community will be contacted by 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 23, with any updates on school plans for Monday, Jan. 24. We will continue monitoring the data and will communicate any changes as soon as we are able to do so.

We ask that you please make sure to get fully vaccinated and vaccinate your eligible children. It is going to take the entire community to help so that we can continue school in person!

Please do not hesitate to contact if you have any questions or concerns.
