We are embarking on a new partnership with the Griffith Center to supplement student mental health services in Adams 14, a decision that was based on careful thought and consideration to best serve our students of Adams 14.
This partnership will enable an enhanced mental health experience for Adams 14 students by providing additional school-based therapists across the district. Beginning in the 2021-2022 school year, Adams 14 students will benefit from expanded services provided by nine school-based therapists (an increase of five from last year), as well as 24 Adams 14 Mental Health Team members (an increase of three from last year).
Adams 14 has worked with Community Reach Center (CRC) for a number of years, and we thank the CRC team for their partnership and collaboration in supporting Adams 14 students. This imperative partnership will continue through out-patient referrals and coordinating care for the students we collectively serve in Commerce City.
It is critical to note that students who receive mental health minutes through their Individualized Education Plans (IEP) will not be impacted by this change, and will continue to receive services from our Adams 14 Mental Health Team.
