Online programming will be offered on a smaller scale than what was offered this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adams 14 believes, and research supports, that our learners thrive best in an in-person classroom environment, specifically our students in grades preschool through fifth. To that end, the Adams 14 Online program will only service 300 students in grades six through 12 for the 2021-22 school year.
Students will engage in learning virtually with a certified teacher, in partnership with Colorado Digital Learning Solutions, which is an approved program from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Spaces will be limited to 300 students in grades six through 12 only. Students will participate virtually in elective programming such as music, art, and physical education.
Specialized programming, such as bilingual programming, as well as some special education services will be available for in-person learning only.
Registration will open July 21 and will remain open throughout the school year.
All parents and guardians will have to register their child through the district registration process by clicking here. Once the registration process is complete, parents and guardians of students in grades 6-12 will then click the tab that reads Adams 14 Registration.
Parents and guardians will be prompted to complete a series of acknowledgements before they submitting their registration form
The forms are time stamped and a file will be created. Students who are on an active attendance plan will be viewed individually and accommodated based on the active attendance plan. Once the first 300 students are identified, a member of the district’s registration office will contact parents and guardians directly – based on their preferred method of communication within Infinite Campus – letting them know if their student has been selected.
After the first 300 students are enrolled, the district will maintain a waitlist. Once space becomes available, Adams 14 registrar staff will communicate directly – based on their preferred method of communication within Infinite Campus – with interested families.
Students will be able to transfer in or out of the online program at the end of the semester on December 17, 2021.
Breakfast and lunch breaks will be embedded in the Adams 14 Online program schedule; however, meals will be provided by participating student’s parents or guardians.
Students will participate virtually in elective programming such as music, art, and physical education.
Students still have the opportunity to participate in afterschool programming at their neighborhood school, including academic clubs and athletics.
Specialized programming, such as ELD programming, as well as some special education services will be available for in-person learning only for students who qualify.
Parents or guardians and school teams will meet to identify IEP and/or ELD services based on students’ needs, and to create an individualized schedule. As a reminder, all classes are offered in English and bilingual programming is not available.
All enrollment information and confirmations will come directly from the Adams 14 registration staff.
Adams 14 registration staff are available throughout the summer to assist parents with registration. Please call 303-853-3238 for assistance.
Adams 14 is also thrilled to host several registration events across Commerce City to support families with registration help this summer. Click here to view the registration flyer with dates and times for registration events.
