Snowflake: Inclement weather update

Dear Adams 14 Parents/Guardians and Staff,

Please be advised that all afterschool activities and events districtwide are canceled today, Jan. 17, 2023.

A winter storm is forecasted for this Tuesday evening, Jan. 17, and is expected to continue into Wednesday, Jan. 18. The district is monitoring the weather, and if a decision is made to close schools or delay start times, a notification will be communicated no later than 5 a.m. on Wednesday.

If the district closes schools due to inclement weather, students will have a traditional snow day, with no in-person or remote learning. However, if weather conditions warrant schools to be closed for more than one day, schools will pivot to remote learning on the second day, and if necessary, any following days that schools may be closed due to weather conditions.

Please remember that all students and staff should take home this evening all necessary technological devices and materials/items in the case that schools are closed for more than one day.

Adams 14 understands that the decision to close schools, delay school start times, or dismiss students early due to inclement weather has a significant impact on our families. Thus, the district takes careful consideration when making a determination regarding our inclement weather options and is committed to informing families as early as possible.
