Dear Adams 14 community,
I am excited to announce that we are less than a month away from the first Adams 14 Annual Soccer World Cup! The opening ceremony will take place at Adams City High School on Friday, May 5, at 6 p.m. The games will be played at Soccer City in Aurora; the group phase will be played on Saturday May 6, 2023, and the finals will be played on Sunday May 7, 2023.
The district will be sharing the finalized schedule within the next few weeks and we hope to see our beloved Adams 14 community ready to cheer for the 22 teams! In the meantime, please feel free to review the tournament’s code of conduct and share the event with your friends and family.

Students, parents and community members are invited to participate in the district’s “beautification” event in celebration of Earth Day on Saturday, Aprill 22. Participants will meet at their respective schools at 8 a.m. to work with the district’s Grounds and Operations staff to plant a raised garden bed and clean up the school grounds and building exteriords. The Adams 14 Education Foundation is holding its 23rd Annual Gala Benefit to support student programs and scholarships in the Adams County School District 14. The 14er Fest will be on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 6-9:30 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Central-Park (4040 Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80207).
Tickets to attend the 14er Fest cost $50 for Adams 14 Staff and $75 for individuals outside of the district. Donations are also appreciated! Click here to learn more about the event and to sign up.
The Social Justice Ministry of our Lady Mother of the Church has partnered with Adams 14 to offer its Parity training program. The program aims to help parents efficiently and strategically advocate for their children’s education by learning about school systems and processes. The six-session program will only be offered in Spanish and starts on April 8 at Central Elementary School. Click here to view the flyer.
Students will engage in authentic learning experiences designed to introduce core skills for various careers. This exciting opportunity will allow students to select a camp of their interest: culinary arts, graphic design, automotive repair, health sciences, and more! Register by April 21, 2023. Any K-8 students interested in the Adams 14 World of Wonder! summer learning program should contact their school starting on April 11 to be added to the waiting list. The deadline for the waitlist is Friday, April 21, 2023. Please note, seating is limited and spots fill up quickly. Students who participate in this exciting summer learning program will engage in project-based learning focused on language arts (Spanish and English), mathematics, science, and Extended School Year (ESY). Together with Westminster Rotary Club and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Commerce City is giving free books to all preschool kids in the area. From birth until 5 years old, each enrolled child receives a free age-appropriate book every month.

Adams 14 understands that the decision to close schools, delay school start times, or dismiss students early due to inclement weather has a significant impact on our families. Thus, the district takes careful consideration when making a determination regarding our inclement weather options and is committed to informing families as early as possible.
Each May, our country participates in Mental Health Awareness Month to raise awareness of mental health and the impact it can have on the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children, families, and communities. Adams 14 and Kids First Health Care support the integrated health and well-being of every student, staff member and family in our community. To highlight the services available to students, and to provide resources to families, we invite the community to participate in our Mental Health Awareness Month activities.
