A Message From Our Superintendent

Dear Adams 14 Community,

We finally made it to the first week of classes for our elementary, middle, and high school students! All of Adams 14’s staff was busy last week during their final days of professional development and preparation before the new school year. It was exciting to see everyone’s enthusiasm to welcome our wonderful and talented students back into the classrooms.

As a reminder, if your child has not registered for school, please contact your child’s school immediately. Each of our school’s front office staff would be happy to help you with any registration information or concerns you may have.

I look forward to an amazing new year of learning, in which Adams 14 tells its story and all of the incredible achievements that will happen in the district throughout the 2022-2023 school year.

At your service,
Dr. Karla Loría
Adams 14 Superintendent

Adams 14 Highlight

Many of Adams 14’s schools held “Back-to-School Nights” within the last week to welcome our new and returning students! Adams City Middle School was the first school to hold its event on Thursday. Teachers at ACMS waited outside their classrooms as students and families walked through the halls excitedly to learn about what to expect this school year.

“I’m really excited and I have a lot of goals,” said Rebeca Esparza, the math teacher for 7th grade at ACMS. “I can’t wait to see them again.”

For Joanna Chaparro-Castillo, it is exciting to have her daughter go to the same school she attended more than 15 years ago.

“It gives me the goosebumps,” said Chaparro-Castillo, whose daughter is starting sixth grade at ACMS. “I was a student aide so I have a lot of fond memories of my teachers and this school.”

Throughout the event, students led their parents to each classroom to meet the teachers and share stories of what they had learned the previous school year.

“They want to be in these classrooms,” Esparza said. “They don’t want to go to another school and that makes me proud.”
