A Message From Our Superintendent

Dear Adams 14 community,

We hope you’re having a wonderful summer full of learning and spending time with loved ones. Summer break serves as a great time to take care of yourselves in anticipation of the next school year. My colleagues and I are excited to change the history of Adams 14 for its schools and students as we approach the fall.

The work for our community continues even during the summer, with our Nutrition Services staff working diligently to keep students fed. Adams 14 is providing free meals to all children ages 18 and under as part of the Summer Food Service Program. From May 31-June 30, 2022, the school district is serving lunch from 12-12:30 p.m. at the following locations Monday through Thursday:

  • Alsup Elementary School
  • Central Elementary School
  • Kemp Elementary School
  • Monaco Elementary School
  • Rose Hill Elementary School
  • Adams City High School
  • Suncor Boys & Girls Club

And from July 11-29, the district will offer meals Monday through Thursday at the following sites and times:

  • Central Elementary School (12-1:00 p.m.)
  • Suncor Boys & Girls Club (12-12:30 p.m.)

Finally, I would like to remind the community that all district buildings and schools will be closed on Monday, June 20, in observance of Juneteenth, the U.S. federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people, specifically enslaved Black/African Americans.

Adams 14 understands that the recognition and celebration of Juneteenth is a critical part of its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. While the day reminds us of our country’s long legacy of systemic racism, inequality, and inhumanity, it also reminds us of our capacity to heal, hope, and emerge from our darkest moments. Please join me and the Adams 14 Board of Education in observing this important holiday.

At your service,

Dr. Karla Loría
Adams 14 Superintendent

The COVID-19 Response Dial and protocol takes into consideration the community COVID-19 vaccination rate, the Adams 14 employee and student COVID-19 vaccination rate, and our community COVID-19 transmission rate. The Adams 14 COVID-19 Response Dial and protocol will vary based on the aforementioned data, and our response will be clearly articulated in a Green Zone, Yellow Zone, and Red Zone. Return of Devices That Are Not In Use

The end of the school year is approaching fast! As we prepare for summer school and the 2022-2023 school year, we would like to remind parents that they should begin returning any technology devices that are not in use. All Chromebooks, iPads, and chargers that are not in use must be returned to your school’s front office staff. We appreciate your support!

Kids First Health Care Clinics

As the team prepares for summer break, Kids First reminds all families that if a child needs high-quality health care services over the summer, please call its year-round Commerce City community clinic at 303-289-1086.

The Commerce City clinic will be moving to the Commerce City Community Resource Hub this summer, which centralizes health and other services for families in one convenient location!

The Kids First Health Care team is looking forward to welcoming all families to the new clinic at 7190 Colorado Blvd. Kids First is in the process of designing a state-of-the-art primary care clinic on the fourth floor that will include medical and mental health care services, spacious, bright and colorful exam rooms, beautiful murals and interactive spaces that are both comfortable and convenient for patients and their families.
