We were so excited today to welcome back our elementary school students (preschool through fifth grade) to their first day of in-person learning.
As a reminder, please complete the daily health screener through our specialized COVID-19 screening tool called Ruvna. All students participating in in-person learning must be screened at home for fever and COVID-19 symptoms before arriving at school.
Parents and guardians do not need to download an app to receive the Ruvna health screener.
You will receive an email and text message (based on the contact information you have provided in Infinite Campus) from Ruvna with a link to the health screener each morning before school starts, as well as a reminder to those families who have not yet completed it in anticipation of the beginning of the school day.
The screener must be completed before arriving at the school building for the day.
The Ruvna screener is asking about new or a change in usual symptoms. It is not asking about chronic or usual symptoms your child may experience due to ongoing health conditions.
For example, if your child suffers from allergies and one of those symptoms is congestion, DO NOT mark congestion on the screener unless it is new or a change from their usual congestion.
This symptom screening tool will help you determine when to keep your child home from school. Students with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, or any COVID-19 symptom, must remain at home and report elevated temperature or other symptoms to the school (attendance liaison or health clerk).
All students will also have their temperature checked before entering school by school staff at various school entry points.
Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. We are thrilled to welcome our elementary students back to school for in-person learning on Monday, Jan. 25.
If the screener responses yield this message, the student may go to school.
If the responses to the screener questions yield this message, please contact the building attendance office immediately and do not enter the building.
You may be asked follow-up questions to help determine next steps.
