Update Regarding Monday, March 15

Dear Adams 14 Community,

The following is an important update about Monday, March 15.

As previously communicated, we implemented a remote-learning day for all students on Monday, March 15. This decision was made to proactively prepare for any potential teacher absences due to many of our employees receiving their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

However, due to the inclement weather forecasted this weekend, Monday, March 15, may instead be declared a traditional snow day (no in-person or remote learning for students). We will continue to monitor the weather and if the storm results in unsafe conditions, we will decide on Sunday evening or early Monday morning as to whether to declare a traditional snow day.

Meal distribution services on Monday, March 15, are cancelled to ensure the safety of all our students and staff. Instead, on Friday, March 12, our Nutrition Services team will provide families with a three-day meal pack for the weekend, which includes three breakfast meals and three lunch meals for families in need at our meal distribution sites.

As a reminder, there is no school for students tomorrow, March 12, as it is a teacher work day.

As always, school closures will be communicated through the following communication channels:

  • District and school websites
  • District and school Facebook pages
  • Adams 14 Flyer Connect App
  • Infinite Campus
  • Channel 22
  • Local television and radio stations and websites

Your flexibility is appreciated as we work to provide our families with the best options to support academic success, as well as the health and safety of all students and staff.

Don Rangel, Adams 14 acting superintendent
